Shop Opening and Giveaway

Since announcing I was opening a shop, I have received several enquiries. So that I didn't disappoint, I decided to open shop a bit early. My two shops are now open.

To celebrate I have decided to give a prize to two lucky winners. One winner will win a project bag and one will win a skein of my Merino/Nylon hand dyed 4ply sock yarn. The lucky winners will be able to select from my shop.

All you need to do to win is to visit either my Folksy or Artfire shops (they both carry the same stock, Folksy invoices in GBP and Artfire in USD). Have a look around. Come back and leave me a comment as to which item is your favourite. Don't forget to say which prize you would prefer to win and to give me a way to contact you.

The winner draw will take place on on Friday, 19th March.  I will divide commentors based on the prize they want to win and assign each a unique number. I will then use a random number generator to select the winner.

Good luck everyone!

All of your sock yarn is so vibrant, but my favourite one in the Folksy shop is the Viola Evening. :D Yummy to look at, certainly, and I'd love to find out how it knits up! The project bags are totally adorable. :)

Have retweeted for you too, hope it helps. :)

It's all too gorgeous for words! I love your yarn but have to admit I'm not a sock knitter, more of a chunky yarn girl tbh. So I think my favourite item would have to be the Drawstring Project Bag - Hippy Skulls :)

I love this Drawstring Project Bag - Hippy Skulls, it would be my choice if I won. I don't know if I'm eligible, being in the USA, but I sure hope so. I know postage is high, so I'd understand if not.

Congratulations on the new shops and may you have great success. I'm sure you will with your merchandise.

Oh how to choose! I love love Neon Heather, but will have to say Johnny Rotten, cos it's a bit more unusual.

All of your items are great! My favorite is the Viola sock yarn. It reminds me of violas and it reminds me of Mardi Gras.

wow, great job! Blossom sock yarn is the fave, how cool would that look woven into something, mixed up with a bit of Suri alpaca or mohair. I couldn't hide that away in a shoe...:) Good luck with your online shops.

Good luck with your new venture, it's very hard to choose between your lovely bags and pretty yarns, I like hippy skulls in the bags, and neon heather in the yarn!

Very nice shops indeed. I think, although there are several I like a lot, my ultimate fave is the blue haze 4ply. Lovely. 2nd would be the red hot. If I am lucky enough to win you know me in various places already and I am going to retweet. x

Congrats on opening your shop. You have some gorgeous colours going on there! I especially love the Neon Heather II and Red to Violet yarn.

The Hippy Skull bag just sent my OMG meter way off the scale, it is so cool! Please enter me in the bag giveaway.

Congrats and Best Of Luck on your shops. I have a feeling we're all in on the start of something big here!

Ooh some fab things! The skull project bag is very cool idea, However I am a sucker for sock yarn I think I'd have to plump for the Logwood Purple (though the red hot and violets are lovely as well).
good luck with it all.

Yay, I love your shops. My fave (apart from the one you've already reserved for me!) is the Viola. They are all such beautiful colours though.

Well Helen, what a lovely array of colours, so inspirational! I have to say that my favourite has to be the Blossom sock yarn, in fact if I was lucky enough to win then I would choose that. It reminds me of the Gelato shops from my favorite county, Italy!

Joanna said...

Congratulations on your shops, they look really really good!
I absolutely love all your yarns but its Neon Heather II that does it for me. The rich jewel colours are just beautiful! xxx

Unknown said...

Ooh...Since I've already probably got the largest stash of KnitCave yarn outside the Knit Cave, please count me in for the bag draw! I love the one with bubbles :)

Deirdre said...

I would have to go wth the Hail colourway sock yarn, oh wow what beautiful colours, though the Lacey came in a close second!

Claire said...

I love love love the Vermillion sock yarn, It's just beautiful. Orange is one of my favourite colours.

Also being a fan of skulls I'm also joining the hippy skull fan club

Aw man, if I were in the UK I'd be ordering this very minute! (But not being in the UK means the husband is not employed which means I am on a yarn diet. Boo hoo!)

Seriously though I love love love all of your purple yarns and your turquoise. But it's the Hippy Skulls that really make my day :)

Good luck with your new stores! I hope we get to see some handspun someday too (at least by the time my spouse gets a job ;) )!

Neon heather2 is so pretty. So glad you opened your own shop. And the Hippy skull bag is right up my ally too.

Trying again...

You've got a great shop there with so much beautiful yarn! It's hard to choose a favourite, but Purple Haze just about scrapes through as the best! Good luck!

My email is rita (at) 8gomad (dot) co (dot) uk.

Mully Nex said...

Wow stunning stuff! I have to say purple haze on folksy is my fave but I'm a huge purple fan anyway ;) I can see that making a fabulous warp for a scarf would need something else for weft in a gorgeous contrast!! I'd love yarn in the giveaway as I'm on a buying yarn diet! You can contact me through Twitter or ravelry as mulene or hit me up under the same user name at g mail dot com.

I'm very impressed with your dying - is all gorgeous and if it wasn't a bad time of year I'd be shopping!

Mikki said...

Congrats on the shop!! Looks great so far!

My favorite among your stock so far is the Merino/Nylon 4ply Sock Yarn - Neon Heather II. The colors just blend so beautifully. When I saw I could just see myself tucked on my couch, a fire going in the fireplace, a cup of tea on my table and your yarn sliding across on my needles.

As for the prize I'd like if I'm lucky enough to win... the yarn of course! LOL I've never had anything hand dyed and it just thrills my imagination!

Wow!! Am madly in with your Merino/Nylon 4ply Sock yarn :) It all looks soooo yummy! Since you're making me choose, I'll pick the Neon Heather II; I'd love to design a shawl with this....

Oh my, your shops are tempting. Look at those colours, they make me happy. My favorite colour is logwood purple, but neon heathers II is a very (VERY!) close second :o)
